Booking Policies
Advance booking is preferred. To make sure your sitting needs are met, we suggest booking at least one to two weeks in advance. For holiday and other busy season bookings we suggest three weeks or more.
There is a four hour minimum and a $40 per-day-booked deposit taken at the time of your reservation. This non-refundable deposit will be applied toward your hourly charges at the end of sitting. If you cancel fewer than 24 hours in advance, you will be billed for 4 hours of childcare for the day you've cancelled.
$20 "last minute" fee if you need a sitter within 2 hours.
Sitter Ratio
We limit the ratio of children to sitters according to the age of the children:
- One sitter to five children: four years and above
- One sitter to four children: three years and above
- One sitter to three children: two years and above
Ratios may vary depending on the combination of ages in the group. Please call or email for specifics.
Pricing
Normal rates:
- $24/hr - 1 child
- $26/hr - 2 children
- $28/hr - 3 children
- $30/hr - 4 children
- $32/hr - 5 children
On-hill sitter rates:
- $28/hr - 1 or 2 children
- $30/hr - 3 children
- $32/hr - 4 children
- $36/hr - 5 children
Holiday rates:

Please Remember:
- To pay your sitter for any parking fees
- To give your sitter money in advance for food, movies, or treats for the kids (if needed)
Payment Methods
We accept the following methods of payment:
- Credit cards: Visa, Master Card, & American Express
- Check: Corporate check or in-state personal check made out to "Activity Sitters," not to your sitter.
- Cash: USA currency only.
Tips are welcome through any payment method. Your sitter will receive the full tip regardless of how it's paid.
Cancellation
You will be charged for the 4-hour minimum if a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the scheduled childcare.
