Booking Policies
Advance booking is preferred.  To make sure your sitting needs are met, we suggest booking at least one to two weeks in advance.  For holiday and other busy season bookings we suggest three weeks or more.
There is a four hour minimum and a $40 per-day-booked deposit taken at the time of your reservation.  This non-refundable deposit will be applied toward your hourly charges at the end of sitting.  If you cancel fewer than 24 hours in advance, you will be billed for 4 hours of childcare for the day you've cancelled.
Sitter Ratio
We limit the ratio of children to sitters according to the age of the chi ldren:
- One sitter to five children: four years and above
- One sitter to four children: three years and above
- One sitter to three children: two years and above
Ratios may vary depending on the combination of ages in the group. Pleas e call or email for specifics.
Pricing
- Normal rates: $20 per hour for one child; $22/hr for two children; $24/ hr - 3 children; $26/hr - 4 children.
- Holiday rates - July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day: $35/hr for the first child; $2/hr per additional child
- New Years Eve: $50/hr for the first child; $2/hr per additional child
Sitter parking fees will be paid for by parents. Any other expenses that might come up (meals, movies, etc.) are also your responsibility.  Please provide cash at the beginning; sitters will not use their own money to cover on-the-job expenses.
Payment Methods
We accept the following methods of payment:
- Credit cards: Coming soon
- Check: Make checks out to "Activity Sitters," not to your sitter.
- Cash: USA currency only.
Tips are welcome through any payment method.  Your sitter will receive the full tip regardless of how it's paid.
Cancellation
Your $40 per-day deposit will not be refunded when a reservation is cancelled less than one week in advance.
You will also be charged for the four hour minimum if a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the scheduled childcare.
